Here is yet another of everyday stories around exports out of Zimbabwe. Motivating Stories like these are growing across the country. This post by Agricultural Partnerships Trust (APT) shows ordinary farmers from Bubi in Umzingwane busy preparing their chillies produce for the international market.
Horticulture has been targeted by the government of Zimbabwe under Horticulture Recovery and Growth Plan which falls under the Ministry of Lands, Agriculture, Water and Rural Resettlement.
Horticulture is also an area of interest of the recently launched (in November 2020) United Kingdom Trade Partnerships Programme (UKTP) in Zimbabwe which seeks to help local horticultural farmers maximise on European export opportunities under Economic Partnership Agreements (EPAs).
UKTP is targeting to work with 600 smallholder horticultural farmers.
